It’s a short five-block drive between my place and the grocery store. On the return drive home after picking up a few necessities over my lunch hour, I noticed something. Some of the trees along Devonshire Ave. are reaching their peak color. Their yellow, orange, and red hues appeared especially vibrant in the bright, midday sunshine and against the deep blue, October sky.
I had to pull the car over two separate times to hop out and snap some photos. It was worth it. I didn’t delay for too long. I returned home in plenty of time to store my Panera mac & cheese in the refrigerator before it got too warm. I love autumn. 🌳🍂🍁🏈⚽
